In addition to specifically commissioned instruments, I also usually try to keep at least one of my own new instruments available for full trial without commitment.
I also try to keep a good selection of older and second hand instruments for sale which can also be tried at leisure and without commitment - you can take all day if you want!

Samick 5 String Banjo - Offers circa £250
Samick SB 55 Banjo in excellent condition and apparently never been played. Now considered to be a vintage instrument made between 1990 and 2001, it certainly shows no signs of having been used and it's just crying out for a good home! The spec, is - Nato neck, resonator, ply Maple rim, engraved chrome arm res, milky head, 24 brackers, Rosewood fretboard & bridge, Planetary w/ geared 5th, heart inlay, chrome hardware, 5-string.

Stainer Violin £3,800
Professional quality instrument, believed to be circa 1670. This delighful instrument has the quality of tone and response that might be expected of an instrument of such age. Very old violin - £650

Old Violin - £250-00
Unlabelled violin circa 1900 possibly German / Austrian. Lovely open tone throughout. Has some repaired belly cracks which appear to be sound. Front / scroll would benefit from having the varnish re-furbished to make this an attractive violin with a 'delicate' feel.Click on an image to enlarge

Silver mounted, this bow was independently valued for insurance at £1600 several years ago. It was dropped and suffered a head break.
